Ofcom ensures that all rules are followed and there is no inappropriate content is being broadcasted.
6) How do Doctor Who and His Dark Materials help the BBC to meet the BBC's remit to inform, educate and entertain?
In Doctor Who, the show helps educate the audience by making Susan very good at science. This means it could help young girls be more interested in STEM. On the other hand , His Dark Materials informs the audience watching as there is a corrupt government in charge . However, both Dr Who and His Dark Materials both provide entertainment. This is because the shows both have an interesting storyline which keeps viewers invested. In conclusion , both shows help the BBC meet the mission statement - Inform , Educate , Entertain.
