Tatler : Case Study Blog Task

Introduction:

 1) Look at the Tatler Media Pack. Go to page 2 : How does the editor introduce the magazine?

The editor introduces the magazine by explaining the magazine is targeted for the upper class and they love fashion. 

2) Now go to page 4 of the Media Pack. Focus on the print magazine (NOT tatler.com - the website). List the key demographic details: age, gender %, ABC1 % (social class), HHI (Household Income), % of those living in London and the South East. What do these demographic details suggest about the average Tatler reader?

According to Tatler , the print magazine readership features an average age of 42, is 84% female, and is 80% ABC1, with an average household income of £172,000 and 47% based in London and the South East. These demographics depict an affluent, mature, and socially established reader concentrated in the UK's high-society hub.

3) Look at page 6. What do Tatler readers think about fashion? How much do they spend?

All Tatler readers own designer items including ; shoes, accessories , clothes. 

4) Go to page 10. What are the special editions of Tatler that run throughout the year? What does this suggest about the Tatler audience? What about the psychographic audience group that best fits Tatler?

In January there is a travel guide , March there is a wedding guide , April there is a beauty guide , June a spa guide , July a watches and jewellery guide , in October a schools guide. This suggests that the Tatler audience is able to buy these magazines once a month without a doubt. The psychographic group that best fits Tatler is upper class.
